Fight Of The Night 1/16/2010

Pretty weak night, especially for a Saturday night with a lot of games scheduled. Three fights in the Devils/Avalanche game last game, including the FOTN between Mark Fraser and Ryan Wilson. A good showing for Wilson who knew someone would be after him after his massive hit took Patrik Elias of the ice on a stretcher. As always, thanks to www.hockeyfights.com for the videos!

Fight Of The Night 1/15/2010

Missed out on posting yesterday so quickly here is the FOTN for Friday nights games. Brain McGrattan continues a solid comeback season, taking a decision from Nashville's Wade Belak.

a post from alena!

at 6:22am, havent slept yet and have probably had less than 15 hours of sleep in the last 4 days maybe? No clue. Oh and at this moment I'm not contributing! what a surprise.

Todd will be the main contributor for the next week at least. The spring semester is starting and I won't have time to update anything dealing with the internet unless it involves a class.

But keep enjoying!

Fight Of The Night 1/14/2010

Fairly slim pickings for today's entry, so I will go with a scrap that continues a very impressive rookie season for Ottawa's Matt Carkner. After a hug filled fight earlier in the period, Carkner and Donald Brashear of the Rangers got together for round two. I have never liked Brashear, so seeing him get knocked down is always a good time.

Fight Of The Night 1/13/2010

Only four games in the NHL last night but it was a busy night fight wise with seven scraps taking place. The FOTN comes from the Canucks/Wild game which got a little chippy late in the third with three fights taking place in the last nine minutes of play. Big John Scott absolutely tuned up Alexandre Bolduc. I have never seen Bolduc fight before, and for his sake, hope he doesn't try it again.

Fight of the night 1/12/2010

Nine fights in the NHL last night, a few good ones and a few snoozers. My pick for FOTN is Matt Bradley/Steve Downie from the Caps/Lightning game. It wasn't the best fight, but it showed what happens when you see your superstar franchise player about to get involved in something he probably shouldn't. Props to Matt Bradley for jumping in, although I gotta admit, I really wanted to see Ovechkin get into it.

First Post

This blog has just been created and its 4:30am. I am going to bed and I'm sure my husband will be the first to contribute when he gets home from work in the morning. Enjoy!
